About Supportive Parent
Brian Gotta is the founder and President of CoachDeck LLC, (www.CoachDeck.com), the most popular youth sports training tool in North America. CoachDeck's unique information delivery method is used by thousands of youth sports leagues and coaches worldwide. He is also founder of Upstart Sports (www.UpstartSports.com) and founder and instructor of another online course, SAFE Baseball (www.SafeBaseball.com). Additionally, he has written multiple sports-related books located on Amazon and at www.BooksByGotta.com.
Brian has extensive personal experience in the youth sports world. In addition to coaching over 50 teams as a parent-volunteer in a variety of sports, he has watched his four children through all of the ups and downs of club sports and high school. All four of his children played high school sports and all four went on to play in college as well. Three of the four are still playing professionally.
Though his children ultimately enjoyed tremendous success in athletics, it was never an easy road. Brian has seen every variety of "sports parent" and had every type of emotion as a dad himself. Over the past decade, Brian has read and written extensively about youth sports and has served as an informal "counselor" to countless parents who have come to him with questions about their children's athletic challenges and struggles. It is from those many conversations and from his personal experiences that he realized the tremendous need for a course for parents, taught by parents who have been in the same shoes.
